Still no luck.

The few Canadian contacts I have can't seem to find them. What good is DQ without the Treatzza Pizza? A hotdog stand. A hotdog stand that serves sausage gravy with it's fries. This whole things makes me feel like Mel Gibson in the movie Conspiracy Theory. My living room has turned into a wall to wall string diagram of last sightings and errant newspaper clippings.

DQ, why have thou forsaken me?!

Alright folks. Today I finally post the last response I received from DQ.

-------------------

Dear Zach,

Thank you for contacting American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ) with your
additional comments.

The link you provided me is for the Canadian Dairy Queen menu, which
differs from the United States one. In the US, ADQ has not had Treatzza
Pizza's available for over 5 years. They are still a menu item in Canada,
but very few places have it available because the packaging for it is no
longer available.

I am very sorry for any frustrations this may have caused you and I hope
you will not hold this against your local independently owned and operated
Dairy Queen restaurants.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us with your additional
comments.

Best Regards,

DQ's Response

So I finally got a response from DQ and much to my dismay it carried horrible news.

-------------------

Dear Mr. Beck,

Thank you for contacting International Dairy Queen, Inc. (IDQ) with your question about the availability of Treatzza Pizzas.

I am sorry to report that, yes, the Treatzza Pizza has been discontinued system-wide. I am very sorry to disappoint you like this, and I assure you that I will relay your comments to our product development team.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us and I do hope you will continue to give all of us an opportunity to serve you in the future.

Best Regards,

I quickly fired back the following e-mail in hopes of stirring a more favorable response.

-------------------

Dear Abby P,

Your response confuses me as they are still advertised on your website (http://www.dairyqueen.com/ca-en/Menu/Cakes/DQ-Treatzza-Pizza/). I have spent an extensive amount of time trying to track one down based on this advertisement.  I have also not come by an announcement that they would be discontinued. Please explain.  Thank you.

Sincerely,

Zach

This might be a long shot.

So, I just found a blog about a woman's journey to weight loss that had a post mentioning she purchased a Treatzza Pizza. The post was dated about a year ago and it mentioned that she bought it around the time her nana died.  I just have one question. Was it insensitive for me to contact her and ask what DQ location she was at? She has ignored a comment from someone else asking the same question so I am doubtful that she will respond but I will try anyway. Here is the message I sent her...

Dear Amy,

I noticed on one of your blog posts that about a year ago you purchased a Treatzza Pizza. I was wondering if you could tell me what location where you were at when you bought it. Several friends and I have been trying to come by one for a while now and have come up empty handed. Thanks for the help.

I guess we will see if this turns into a credible lead.

And so it begins...

So it all started last night while deciding what to order for dinner when a few friends stopped by to visit. After much debate about what the main course should be we finally decided that we wanted a classic treat from an all-American eatery; the DQ Treatzza Pizza. Not one of us could think of the last time we had seen one so I immediately checked the corporate website to find that they are still part of their product line.  I then attempted to call a local store to find if they had any in the store.  To my complete and utter dismay the person who answered the phone hadn't even heard of the heavenly dessert. So I called another, and another, then another one in a different zip code, and then one in the adjoining state only to find that not a single location carries them. Finally, I called the corporate number to get my answer once and for all.  After waiting on hold for 20 minutes only to be hung up on, I called back again and after another 20 minutes of hold time I was connected to whom DQ International calls Jessica #647. I explained my situation and asked if there was any way that I could find out what locations sold the, now infamous, Treatzza Pizza. She did a quick search and informed me that she didn't have that information and took down my information to forward my inquiry to the proper department. Now I wait. But what is a reasonable amount of time to wait for this decadent piece of culinary genius? One day, three days, a week? I will continue my search on-line until this Friday, at which point I will call corporate back to follow up on the status of my request. Hopefully, there will be positive progress this week.
